Colour Heal 002: TANIA
ColourFeel Intro to Tania:
Tania is magic. If you’ve ever come to Ibiza in a slightly sorry state, I’ve probably insisted you pay her a visit. Her Ayurvedic energy massage sessions have a way of unlocking people’s inner emotional labyrinth on such a level that many people have outer-body experiences while laying on her massage table. She even helped two of my friends fall pregnant, simply by helping them to identify and overcome emotional blockages, which even two years of IVF and heavy supplement programmes weren’t able to ameliorate.
Tania was also a crucial element in the programme for my one-bedroom, secret hotel project ‘La Casita’, which gave my clients and extended creative network a place to reflect and regenerate during the dark days of the winter lockdowns. More than a house, ‘La Casita’ became a quasi-hospital, with most people arriving in a state of energetic malaise born from too much remote work and a state of constant alert and crisis. Everyone who stayed at ‘La Casita’ was sent to Tania’s cabin in the woods on the first day for an emergency re-embodiment session. The energetic shift was palpable, with everyone stepping out of their session in a mood equivalent to having been on the island for over a week.
Tania was also there when I had my ‘epiphany’ to start the adventure that is ColourFeel. It was during a ceremony created by Tania for Under Armour (with Harley & Co) that I felt the power of IRL story-telling and realised I wanted to create a company that harnessed the energetic rewards of lived experiences. Standing there, in front of the sea-rising rock of Es Vedrá, a cloud formation frothing over its peak, I was so moved by the saccharine melodies of Tania, who was singing to a group of twenty-five women and thought: this is what I want to do.
Since then, I’ve worked with Tania to be part of wellness days for LOEWE and lead sound baths for creative teams from Converse in Paris, Nike in Athens and international musicians and fashion designers in Ibiza. We even brought a sound healing to the stage of a televised conference in Madrid.
Even my most esoterically-sceptical friends swear by Tania.
This is simply because she works from a genuine place that is more focused on guiding people back to their essence than prescribing a one-size-fits-all formula.
The way modern wellbeing should be.

Describe your praxis:
I accompany people so they can listen to themselves, creating a space where people can take some time out from lives of freneticism and stress. I mainly work from a small cabin in an Ibizan forest. When you enter, the world drifts away and you return to your essence. It’s a safe place where there are no prejudices; somewhere you can just return to being who you are.
I do this through a variety of different experiences. With Ayurvedic massage using oils made from Ibicenco plants and combined with sound and voice therapy. Sound healing sessions on both the ground and with people floating in water. I also do ‘blessing days’ for pregnant women and farewell ceremonies for loved ones who have passed away. Lately I’m working a lot with the voice and how it can channel specific emotions while also preparing to design and host my own retreats. Together with other collaborators, I host regular poetic concerts of breath and sound and something I like to call ‘Moca sound’ (movement and cacao sessions). Everything I offer can be experienced individually, in couples, groups, or for corporate teams.
Why do you do what you do?
The world is reaching a tipping point where everything is moving way too fast. I’m here to remind people that there is power within each of us, which can only be heard when we stop and listen. I like to say I create ‘listening spaces’ - from massage to sound healings - which give people a chance to pause for a moment, to observe themselves, to breathe, but most of all - to listen.
I believe a better world can be achieved if each of us add our own grain of sand, helping to raise awareness and awaken. Today’s in-built culture of rapid speed is lulling us into a sort of sleep. Just look at the x2-speed option for voice-notes. By unconsciously making everything faster, we get tired, forcing us into a dormant state. The spaces I create help people realise where they are and what they really want to do with their lives.
IYO, what’s toxic about modern life that needs to be healed?
The most common illness of the 21st century is stress. We're getting sick from stress because the world tells us that everything has to be done quickly. I think the phrase "I have to" is the most messed up: "I have to do this", "I have to eat well", "I have to exercise", "I have to be respectful". Sorry, but we don’t "have to" do anything. The way we use language is more important than we realise.
I also think that applied technologies such as social media - especially when misused - are very, very toxic. As a mother, I'm very worried about its effect on the impressionable worlds of children and adolescents. Social media constantly tell us how we ‘should be’ from without — when we really ought to be searching for our own essence within. For me, the only real trend is about listening to what each individual person needs, not jumping onto the latest ‘viral’ health fad. We’re losing our own essence by falling into the trap of constant comparison. Ultimately, everything is much simpler.
How is your practice part of the pathway to a better world?
It starts on an individual level, because an experience must first be lived before it can expand. I always remind people that pain is associated with their emotions, something we don’t realise because we live in a very pragmatic, Western world, where the causes of pain are swept under the rug. We need to return to the source. We're not just a physical body - far from it. So, I guide people back to the emotional origin by helping them to ask 'why does this hurt?', 'why am I feeling like this?', 'why am I like this?', 'what do I have to learn from this experience?'
Sensory Experiences are spaces for one to listen and remember. It’s not about ‘learning’ anything, because we already have all the wisdom - innately. My practice is one of awakening, of realising how to resolve the issue. This starts with listening, only then can you begin to understand the path. The body has memory, so through massage things happen - they awaken. I’m simply there to accompany you.
We can create a better world by working on ourselves, by seeking that balance between body, mind, and spirit. The most important thing for me is to work on coherence - to ensure that what you feel and think is the same as what you say. Just by doing this we’d have a much better world. The most difficult thing in this life is acceptance, and this can only come from a place of calm and love — not from anger or violence, which ultimately lead us into confrontation.
There's still a long way to go before the world is coherent, but things could be much better if we just spoke to each other with respect. That starts by respecting oneself and thinking about what one says before acting. If we all did this there would be fewer judgements and less blame and everything would run more smoothly.
