Suddenly it’s peak season and my annual Summer Guide lands a little late - but also right on time.
Ibiza is an island of mirrors and mirages where the adventures you choose may ultimately define you. It’s not the easiest place to loosen your grip, often pulling you in multiple directions. This is why I’ve decided to theme this year’s guide around practicality.
With everywhere trying to be somewhere, the island can feel rather exaggerated or expensive. But let’s be real: sometimes, you just want to find a good coffee, a no-frills lunch, or glide spontaneously into a restaurant without a reservation and sit at a table that wasn’t stitched together three months prior.
This guide is a comprehensive collection of clickable lists designed to navigate Ibiza’s occasionally paralysing paradox of choice.
Having lived on the island for six years, I’ve hosted countless guests, produced myriad events, off-sites, a festival, as well as written several books and articles for the likes of LOEWE and Monocle Magazine. Along the way, I’ve accumulated a treasury of insider info that places pragmatism before headline-hogging hype.
As with all my guides, this is made for my beloved paid subscribers (it’s only €50 per year, by the way, so sign up if you’re still pondering) and I’ve divided it by categories that cut straight to the practical point (see below).
I’ll be adding and updating these lists over the summer, so make this your go-to point-of-reference for any moment the summer haze clouds your memory and you need a clearcut list to get things flowing again.
Sending some summer love to you all.
